As we see the first dusting of festive snow hit the Highlands, a shiver of excitement about our next batch of releases has collectively run through the Highland Park team. We’re absolutely stoked to announce the release of our next batch of Orcadian Vintages, hot on the heels of the majestic 1970.
This time around, we’ve bottled two sensational vintages: the first coming from 1971 – a big, bold, bruiser-dipped-in-dark-chocolate of a whisky, matured in Spanish oak and a 1976 – matured in American oak, with wonderfully light vanilla and aromatic fruit notes. As a pair, they’re undoubtedly classic Highland Parks, but demonstrate just how the cask type and a nice long, quiet maturation can work its wonders on the final whisky.
As with the other vintages, they’re bottled in our special bespoke jet black bottles, with an embossed pewter Highland Park amulet. The 1971 is bottled at 46.9% with the 1976 weighing in at 49.1%, priced at £2,300 and £2,000 respectively.
A fine addition to the family this Christmas!
