Tribute to Whitney Houston There’s really not a lot I can say that hasn’t been said today.
Nothing I can do, to ease the pain of her family, friends and fans
I can just count myself lucky to have heard her sing,
Praising the lord, her country, and entertaining millions with her songs, style and grace.
And though we have the recordings, the video and our own memories of y0u
It will haunt us all thinking about what you could have sung tomorrow.
Rest in Peace dearest Whitney

NOTE: In the photo attached, (click for larger version) I used a portion of the lyrics, from what I consider one of Whitney Houston ‘s the most powerful performances – that of “The Greatest Love of All.” No offense to George Benson intended. Below are the rest of the lyrics.  Enjoy, and remember her as she was then – and not what you may hear about her, or see in the tabloids today.

Greatest Love Of All

March 14, 1986 Release
Michael Masser and Linda Creed

I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
So I learned to depend on me

I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone’s shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I’ll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can’t take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be

And if by chance, that special place
That you’ve been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love
